A QR code is the shortest path between the physical world and a URL: printed on a flyer, it takes a phone to your landing page; on a restaurant table, to the menu; on a business card, to your booking link. This tool generates QR codes for several content types — URLs, plain text, email addresses and more — with control over size, foreground and background colors, and error correction level.
The settings that matter in practice: size should match the physical print dimensions — a code on a poster needs to be generated large, while one on a business card does not. Colors can be branded, but keep the contrast high: a light-gray code on white looks elegant and scans unreliably. Error correction lets a code survive partial damage or being printed over a busy background; a higher level encodes more redundancy at the cost of a slightly denser pattern. The default level is a sound middle ground for most uses.
Generation happens locally in your browser — the URL or text you encode is not sent to any tracking service, and the resulting PNG downloads straight from your device. Unlike many free generators, nothing here expires, because the code contains your data directly rather than a redirect through someone else's server. That last part matters: codes that route through a third-party shortener stop working when the service shuts down or changes its terms. A directly encoded URL keeps working as long as your destination exists.
Test any code with at least two different phones before printing a few hundred copies. If one struggles, increase the size or the contrast before blaming the printer.
